Hi, I just wanted to let people know that there are spaces in my May workshops. The workshops listed below are specialty workshops which are custom designed for each event; therefore, the material is not taught in my weekly Tribal Fusion workshops in Austin, Texas. Instructor: Michelle Manx Class Title: Pin-Up Girl Bellydance Skill Level: Open to All Type of Class: Fusion Belly Dance with a Pin-up Girl Flair Class Description: This workshop will briefly discuss the history of the classic pin-up girl of 40's and 50's will introduce some of the noted pin-up models and artists of the era. Michelle will demonstrate how to incorporate vintage fashion, classic pin-up poses, and facial expressions into tribal fusion bellydance. Following the lecture portion of the class, the dance section will include a warm-up, a demonstration of various pin-up poses, and a brand new tribal fusion choreography with a pin-up girl flair. Pin-up Bellydance Props: Boa Glamour Tribality 5:00- 7:00 May 30, 2009 San Antonio, Texas This workshop will focus on using the feather boa to add instant glamour and a touch of sass to your bellydance performance. The class will begin with a warm-up section, followed by a demonstration of the classic pin-up poses, and how to use the boa to frame the body and accentuate dance movement. In addition, participants will learn entrances, exits, and a boa choreography with a pin-up girl flair. Please bring a feather boa and a yoga mat.
